Janak Rogers is an Australian-born journalist specialising in podcasting, radio and television, with credits including the BBC World Service, Deutsche Welle, Radio France Internationale, ABC Radio National and SBS, among others.
Based in Melbourne, he is a Lecturer in Journalism at RMIT University, teaching broadcast and multimedia journalism. He also serves as a media trainer for the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre, a mentor for the Melbourne Press Club, and produces podcasts and video content for corporate and government clients.
In 2024, he produced and hosted Australia Fair, an 8-part SBS podcast series exploring the history of race and immigration in Australia.
Janak has lived and worked across France, India, the USA, Mexico, Israel/Palestine and the UK. He holds dual Australian/British citizenship, right of abode in India, and speaks fluent French and Spanish, intermediate Hindi, and native English.
